making a splash at the Wall pool

The pool in Philip is just a giant dirt hole this summer, but the good news is that next summer we will have a fabulous new, heated pool. So, on a 100 degree day we pack up the van and headed to Wall to do some swimming.

Palmer Gulch

While the boys were at the college world series me and the girls joined Verlynda and some of the Hook - VanOurkerk group at Palmer Gulch. We did some visiting, horseback riding, wine testing, swimming, bouncing, shopping, golfing, and of course eating. We really had a nice and relaxing time. If you have never been to Palmer Gulch in Hill City you should check it out. We all had lots of fun. Thanks Verlynda!

Omaha - College World Series

Father's Day Weekend 2010!
Brad took both Riley and Reece along with his Dad to Omaha to watch the college world series. Brad and John have done this every year for the past 5 years, kind of an all adult male trip. This year almost all the extras could not attend so at the last minute Brad decided to take the boys. They all had so much fun and got to do some catching up with an old friend from North Carolina. I think both Riley and Reece will be begging to go every year from now on and it will be hard for Brad to say no.

State Track

Kaci made it to state track, qualifing in pole vaulting at a height of 6'6". At the state tournament she competed against 14 other girls from around the state. Kaci cleared the first two opening heights of 6' & 6'6". Her and one other girl tied for 14th place. She got some great experience and she'll be back next year.
