Reece's birthday

We spent Reece's 8th birthday at the aau state wrestling tournament in Brookings. He said it was the best birthday ever. On his actual birthday March 27th, he was busy on the mat WINNING. Reece wrestled awesome, making it into the championship match. When wrestling was finished for the day everyone from the Philip team went back to the motel for a party. Reece's birthday party with cake along with a pizza party. All the kids took over the motel and had lots of fun. Reece felt pretty special for the day. The next morning all the excitement had worn off for Reece and the nerves took over again. He wrestled very hard with all of us on our toes, placing 2nd in over time. Best season finish yet!

Brady

Reece

Reece is definately our wrestler. The season couldn't start fast enough for him. He joined the Donnelly boys at high school practices for over a month before aau practices got started. Reece wrestled with some great competition this year and over the next few years I'm sure he will make some good friends. We told him every day that wrestling the tough ones only make you tougher. Reece had another great season. He placed 1st at districts, 3rd at regions (it's tough to wrestle while being sick and running a fever) & 2nd at state. Next year his goal is to be state champ.

Riley

"basketball or wrestling?" That was the question for Riley all season & he couldn't decide so he played both. This was the first year for basketball and he really wanted to give it a try. I think he is very good at it and he loved it so much. On the other hand, wrestling is what he has always done and is very familiar with. Riley kept us busy running from the wrestling mat to the basketball court over and over again for a couple months. He enjoyed the busy schedule and so did the rest of us. I loved watching him play ball. When it came time for competing at the state level of wrestling he had to make a decision. Riley picked wrestling and had his best season yet. He placed 3rd at districts, 3rd at regions, & qualified for state. We are not sure what he will decide for next year, only time will tell. "basketball or wrestling?"

Kaci

The 09-10 basketball season was very long but fun to watch. The girls started in November and ended in February. The six 8th grade girls got in lots of playing time during their own season, then were asked to help out with the JV team during January and February. 4 of them decided to play with the JV & all 4 saw some game time. It is amazing how much they improved once they were practicing with the older girls. We are excited to see them as a team come next year.

YIPEE! Brady is 3!

Brady got this doll house for Christmas but it came with very little furniture, so for her birthday she got enough to fill the whole house. She was sooooo excited to get to finally play.

Christmas 2009

We woke up Christmas morning to see what Santa had left under the tree & this is what we found. Meet the newest member of our family, Reggie! Reggie is a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel & was almost 5 months old when he came to live with us. The best part was Santa had already house-trained him! The kids were super excited & love him very much.
